Hey all!

I'm new here and just got through building my first AR kit.  It's a 20" J&T A2 kit and it is beautiful.  Trigger is crisp and light, I didn't have any special tools and I managed not to ding or dent it at all during the building process. Everything WAS perfect.  I was so proud of myself.

However, after I finished it, I was showing it to my dad and, long story short, he dropped the lower on the garage floor.  I about crapped myself.  The "ears" above the safety catch got dinged and are missing finish and there is a small ding behind the mag catch button.

Now, my perfect rifle has 3 blemishes: the safety "ears" and a spot behind the mag catch button.  I filed the rough parts down with a small file, so the metal is smooth, but I want it to be black again.  I can't stand the thought of it being marred up without having been humped in the field or at the very least shot.  She's still a virgin.

So my question is, how can I refinish the messed up areas?  I know the finish is anodized, but how hard is it to refinish/touch-up compared to bluing, for example?

Thanks for any and all replies!

Thanks for the information!  Is there a place to buy it online or could I find it locally?
