[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Fixed tele stock question

Is it possible to get a fixed tele stock that is not in the "extended" position. Is it legal to move it to the "retracted" and then make it fixed?

So I cant buy one retracted, but I can move and extended one to the retracted position and make it fixed there?

It will require some smithing to do if its the Bushmaster version but yes.

better approach would be to buy a collapsable aluminum and weld it in the ideal position of your choice. This would meet the requirements of the ATF.
