What is the differance in weight between an M4 16" upper and a Hbar 16" upper?

The difference between 14.5" HBAR and M-4 (14.5" is standard) barrels is .5 lbs.

Thanks, according to that the 16" barrel weights 2.7 and the M4 barrel weights 2.0. A weight savings of .7 lbs. That might merit the 10 extra dollars for the bushmaster M4 barrel.

Trust me it DOES merit the extra $10.  Especially as it will feel like you've lost more than .7lbs (lever effect).

Bushmaster also make the M4 barrels in 16" as well, but it's called the Patrolman's Carbine.  Anyway, the difference is .5 lbs if you compare 14.5" Hbar vs. 14.5" M4.  If you compare 16" Hbar vs. 16" M4, it will most likely still be about .5 lbs difference.

There are advantages in both designs.  Choice is yours.
