A while back I bought a new AR buttstock from a guy on this board that was A1 length, but was of current manufacture with current hardware. He said he purchased it from the Colt Custom Shop. I couldn't find a part number or reference for them at the Colt web site. Does anyone here have a source for these?

I don't know about a Colt custom shop stock, if it is true, I would take one right now.  I do know Calvery ARms makes a A1 length stock in A2 format.  The swivel is switchable on the bottom.  what does your look like??

It looks exactly like current Colt A2s, but shorter. I don't have it here in front of me, but remember some type of Colt marking on the right side. I'll look later when I get home.

Colt used these on civilian rifles when they were transitioning from the A1s to the A2s.  They are somewhat difficult to find and if you're interested in selling it you should have no shortage of buyers.
