Hi all,

I'm experiencing some weird behavior when inserting mag's. If I slap it in it won't pick up the mag catch. If I insert it slowly it will. Also, the mag catch seems more difficult to release than normal.

This is on an Eagle Arms lower with all other parts, internal and otherwise being Bushmaster.

Any suggestions?

TIA

what kind of mags are you using?  USGI or ten round steel, or something else.  With the ten round steel mags, I find it more difficult to get it to catch and for the mag button to release.  However, with USGI, the mag insertion and release is smooth, fast,a nd easy.

Take a punch and push the mag catch button in. Turn the other side the mag catch 1 full turn clock wise. It may be that the catch needs another turn to make it alittle firmer.
[toilet] or not.
worst case buy a new mag catch assembly. Best case a bad mag or just needs a turn.

The problem happens with all my different mag's. USGI 30's, Orlites, 10 rounders, some other random 30's.

I fooled with it some. It only happens when I'm putting in a full mag on a closed bolt. If I download to 29 it eases the problem considerably.

Well don't do that![lol]I never load mine full anyway. If I can't hit what I'm aiming at after about 25 rounds I must be shooting an AK!!!!
