I'm new to this board. I posted a message yesterday in the rifles, uppers and barrel section. I'm not sure it was the right place.
My question is this. Which manufactures have true interchangability of parts. I read a post which says RRA and Bushmaster do not interchange, and Colt uses a diffrent size pin. Are there any that have complete interchangability. I own only bolt guns now but would like to try an AR for varminting. I know this is a tough question to answer since it hard to find one person who has worked on all makes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks:  TOM

Most companies have true interchangability.  BTW while there may be SOME problems with RRA lowers - many people have no problems putting Bushy uppers on RRA lowers.  I wouldn't worry about it too much - if its a concern just make sure you get a Bushmaster lower.

The only company that gets screwy about interchangeablitly is Colt.  With lowers with odd sized pins and changing the front sight height on their later M4 barrels you can get screwed up.  If you have a Colt - I recommend keeping it all Colt.  Otherwise interchangability isn't an issue.
