I've got a Colt Sporter Target Model 6551. Purchased brand new about 10 years ago for $1350. 1 clip through it and then has been in the safe ever since. Basically brand new with blue label box/manual/cleaning brushes. 20 inch 1:7 barrel w/compensator, fixed carry handle, no bayonet lug. I was hoping that someone could give me an idea of what it is worth in today's market. If I shoot it am I going to devalue it?

I'd be interested in this too. I got one a couple months ago for $700. I know, I got a good deal.

Nope, bought it from a friend who needed the money quick. He bought it new in '93.

My guess is that it is worth less now, after the election, than it was before the election.  Wonderful cause to be optimistic about the fate of a 'assualt' rifle ban.

I agree.  If you paid $1350 ten years ago, you got hosed real good.  However, it was a decade ago, so what is one to do?  $1350 would be about what it's worth today thoough.
