How does Bushy "fix" their plastic tele's on the post ban M4s? On a plastic tele-stock, if you permanently pin the inner to outer tubes and fill the remaining cavity behind the buffer tube with epoxy, that is acceptable by the BATF. I want to confirm this notion. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=140189&w=myTopicPop |

Bushmaster basically removes the adjustable spring do hicky from the lever of the telestock and replaces it with a longer allen screw. They then place 2 pins through the side in the ribs. Editd to add: They use a full length buffer tube. Actually it's a full length tube +about 2 inches of alluminum. |

As Vinie points out Bushmaster uses a custom receiver extension that is 2" longer than the usual 'telestock receiver extension" - a bit longer than the A2 receiver extension. The movable pin IS replaced with the allen screw - there is only 1 hole drilled into the receiver extensions rail (this seem to be important to the BATF). This hole goes all the way through to the inside (you can see the buffer spring if you remove the screw) and is tapped. There are the 2 other blind roll pins that are put into the solid part of the receiver extension's rail on the side. |
