I have a post-ban rifle with the fake flash hider which is pressed on the barrel. Is it legal to put a muzzle brake on it. Can it be done, since it has the pressed on fake hider? Who does this kind of work and is it expensive? Thanks, GMac

Kurt's Kustom Firearms can probably take care of this for you. He makes a functional brake that looks like an A2 flash hider, but it's BATF approved. He has a board in the indusrty forum and many of us here have had work done by him.
