EDITED BY GRIFFIN:  CUSTOMER STATED NO ACCURACY PROBLEM WHEN SILENCER PROPERLY TIGHTENED.  SEE OP POST DOWN THE THREAD.

Sighting in the new scope and trying out a new trigger. The Wilson Combat TTU-Mil is awesome...but anyway.

Fired two ten round groups at 100 yards. First is supressor on, second is suppressor off. Gun is a built 18" with a Bartlien/Compass Lake SPR barrel, using the GA brake mount. Ammo was CBC/Magtech 77gr Mk262 clone-ish.

Accuracy w/o the suppressor is about what I expect for the gun with the ammo on hand. Its pretty hot stuff, clocks 2754 FPS.

I noticed when I went to take the suppressor off, it was a lot more loose than I expected, which suggests it backed off a bit while shooting.

Does anyone else have similar experiences with the SPR?

Where did you get the barrel?

If it is an Ops can...yes, I have had them loosen during use.  The manufacturer has a set number of turns it needs to screw on...I want to say 4-7 or so.  You need to get it pretty snug by hand IMO.

Barrel came direct from Compass Lake Engineering.

The mount should be tightened briskly.  We haven't had any issues with mounts loosening but they do need to be firmly snug to work properly.  The taper only eliminates vibration if it is in tight contact.

I did go and retest. Shot numerous 5-shot groups, all were well under 1 MOA, some close to 1/2 MOA with the suppressor. I did tighten the snot out of it. I suspect I had some oil on the threads because when I went to take it off, it wouldn't budge. I eventually sprayed some Slip 725 degreaser on the back near the threads while pointing the upper down and it spun right off.

It was a freak cold day, and I was getting a lot of mirage with the cover off, but that's obviously no fault of the suppressor. First day of spring and it snowed here.
