I ordered a RRA LAR-15 R3 Competition rifle over 5 weeks ago and still no word on when it will be shipped. I went to Impact Guns, the place I ordered from, yesterday and they called but the only thing RRA said was that they are still waiting on barrels. How normal is it to take this long? If I'd ordered a year ago I could understand a long delay given the frenzy of buying after Sandy Hook spurred by the predictable demand to ban guns from the like of Piers Morgan, but I thought we were beyond that now.
Anyway, what kind of time frame is normal to wait? Brian |

Wilson makes the barrels for RRA I bet since that rifle has a specific barrel SS fluted 18" mid that barrel is pretty popular among SPR builders maybe Wilson is making 16" or 20" at moment. If you are not happy with the wait get another upper Noveske, WOA, Lothar Walther, Wilson combat, rainer arms all make great 18" SS barrels and many others. Take your pick the pickings are good right now.
FYI tech forum is not a place to bitch about back order and call companies out. You will not make many friends that way. A month and 1 week is not a long time to wait. I waited almost a year for SCAR 17 mags. |

Back in 2011, I waited 15 weeks for my RRA carbine. It was worth the wait. BTW - RRA has an Industry forum here, and last time I looked at it, Steve was very responsive to questions. |
