No they didn't, they're saying on their site the longest is 9 months,  Yeah, I'm holding onto that definition of range like a dog with a bone.

I was aware of how long it took, but then this e-filing thing came online so I took the bait. I figured even if it was beyond the touted 90 days it was better than a year or more.  Well, e-filed and a year or more isn't far off.  As a matter of fact where I purchased mine there was a young lady in there recently and she said hers took more than a year.  So I'm not arguing so much for me personally as to wanting the facts to be what they are, not sugar coating it.

Do you understand the definition of the word "Median"?

Here's a hint, it doesn't mean "longest wait ever".

I love it when OP turns into a giant green rage monster over nothing.

Appropriate avatar.

They don't need your business.

Go volunteer somewhere and be happy that you are even allowed to own one.

That page on silencer shop is based on recent approvals. Forms that are currently pending that have taken longer aren't factored in yet.

OP fails to understand this, yet talks of people being Baltimore public school educated. Okay look man we know you actually just mean the n word.

Anyway, yeah, it's likely that their current data, the way they maintain the figures, probably has their longest approval since the beginning of the time window they are currently looking at, is about 9 months. Interestingly, since I ordered a can six months ago, basically every approval on the tracker page had been between 260 and 280 days, with a couple of exceptions that were shorter, usually after a resubmitted form.
Catch me if you can. These are the days of our lives. I sleep with an AK and ride with a four-five.

Has anyone agreed with OP on this?

That's what we call a clue.

I will wait for OPs sequel when his form gets kicked back for a misspelling and he has to file again.

What a fucking whiner. Log out and don’t come back. Go play bingo and yell at cars for driving too fast on your street, apparently guns, and posting on the internet aren’t for you.

I agree!
Better yet, we should be able to buy our stamps at the local Post Office!

Think of how long we would have to wait, bet it would be less than how long it takes to go through this thread.

Gonna go shovel snow now.

He probably took his prune juice and senior nap … now he forgot he made this thread … OP probably realize how stupid his comments were …

Howdy, the ATF Wait Time Tracker is auto-generated based on the previous 7 days of approvals and gives a median range. This does not mean that a form is guaranteed to be approved within this window, just that it is average. If a large number of forms were approved past the window, then the window would adjust accordingly, if that makes sense. It is just a toll to help gauge current wait times but is not meant to predict when your specific form will be processed. - Chase

Damn, am I the only person that reads the word range as how long it takes?  If I had a company as big as Silencer Company I think I'd have a spreadsheet with outstanding filers.  True?  I'm not asking anyone to predict anything, just report the data they have accurately.  If they have that data of filers who are outstanding and they have wait times beyond the reported 9 months then it isn't an honest range.

they’re really not taking this time to look at your life. It’s probably waiting for an examiner to be assigned. Once that happens it’ll be like a week in my experience. They really just log your prints and do a NICS check I believe.
