I own 2 of the ssa triggers. I like them a lot, but am about to start a new build soon, and want to step up, so to speak.
I am going to build a Hbar or bull barrel type gun. More of a precision gun. What about the DMR trigger? Why do more people not use them? One question that I have, is about "setting the trigger up". When you get the trigger where you want it, is it prone to changing, or getting out of where you set it? Meaning, does it require regular maintainence? Or does it stay where you have it set? Is it a very "robust" trigger so to speak? Thanks for the help, L2B |

Actually a lot of people use the DMR trigger. The settings will stay will you set them. When we're out at Camp Perry, we do a free tech inspect on our triggers. Many people have set them up and run them for several years with no change in the settings. You can visit our website and download the latest install and maintenance instruction sheet. We do recommend changing the hammer spring every 10k hits. All of our triggers have a lifetime guarantee on them and our SSA/SSF trigger has a safety certification from Crane NSW. HTH JB |

JB, thanks fo rthe help1 I didn't mean for it to sound as if nobody uses them. I guess what I was more in reference to, was the popularity of the SSA, and E triggers, with the people on this board.
From what I am telling you about my build, do you think that the DMR trigger would be a good choice for my uses? Take care, L2B |

An adjustable trigger is the ticket for shooters who like a trigger to break exactly like they want it too. Most shooters find the SSA and SSA-E to be perfect for them. But some shooters just want things a little bit different.....a lighter break, a sharper or not so sharp break, little overtravel........
It comes down to personal preference. But any of the Hi Speed triggers are just as reliable as the combat triggers. The adjustments stay put and don't move. |
