Any skinny on the use of a hydrolic buffer in my shrike.  I have an AAC hydrolic buffer and was thinking about trying it out.

They leak or bust more frequent than a regular buffer.

I'm getting an MGI Military mechanical buffer next week for a review. I'll post how it works. The hydraulic ones do eventually leak.

Is my AAC Rate Reducer truly hydroloc?  I've had the thing for 9 yrs and it's basically in three parts with a rod and spacers. Not sure of or even has fluid. I'll test it out tomorrow. Also gonna do a 100 round dump with my AAC m4 can. Need to get some junk off the can.

Your AAC buffer is not hydraulic, just mechanical.  There's more discussion re: buffers in the post "I'm having a few issues with # 000583".  Several people (including me) are using the Colt LMG hydraulic buffer with very good results.  It seems to go well with an MG34 spring, either full-length or cut down a little.  I have been using mine for about 15 years and it hasn't leaked yet.  The main problem with them is how much they cost.

Got it, thanks.  Used it today- no problems.
