This might be a dumb question, but I cant figure it out.

I purchased a flat top upper with the picatinny gas block. My intention was to mount a set of LMT front and rear sights to it.

My problem is that the gas block picatinny is about 5/16" lower than the flat top receiver. The LMT sights are at the same level.

Is there a picatinny riser to get the front sight higher??

Thanks
Justin

I don't know about a riser but there are front sights made taller for mounting on a railed gas block.

ETA: like this

You need a front sight designed for a gas block.  The one you bought is designed to be mounted on a free float rail.

Check to see if LMT makes a gas block height front sight and see if you can exchange your rail one for the correct gas block sight.

I just looked on their site and they do not.

I purchased the sight set used anyways.

I really liked it because it isnt a flip up sight. I think yhm makes a gas block hight one. Cant seem to find them in stock though.
