Friday afternoon I got my courage up and built my Double Star lower with a J&T lower parts kit from the complete kit I purchased from J&T at the gunshow on Friday after Thanksgiving. I am thrilled that I was able to do it! Great directions here on AR15.com!
The match-up between the lower and upper receivers is a little off. The lower is more shiney, while the upper receiver has more of a flat or dull appearance. Is there anything I can do to help the match? Also, the M4 stock didn't have the Double Star logo on it. I didn't notice until I got home. I had hoped to put together a complete Double Star, made-in-Kentucky, rifle, but I'm still happy with my first build! Thanks Jesse and all the folks at DS & JT. U1121 |
