I've got a 16" J&T upper I bought in 2002.   Its "pre-ban" configuration.   Its never been quite indexed right, but its really not "off" that much -- e.g. well within the adjustment range of the rear sight, so I never did much with it.   Its got a chrome lined barrel.

Would it be cost effective ship the upper to you guys to have it re-indexed and, while you're at it, to replace the muzzle attachment with a regular bird cage and the front sight with one having a bayo lug?

Any cost or other estimate you guys have would be appreciated.    Thanks!

If it's a post ban version with an attached brake, we should be able to change out the brake, but changing the sight tower is not something that we can do.  The sight tower is mated to that barrel and to try to drill another tower to fit is not only a pain, but it also doesn't always mate up correctly.  Removing the brake and replacing with an A-2 flash hider would run approximately $30-40 depending on what we run into.  Let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.

Thanks,

Jesse

Thought that might be the case.   How much to leave everything as is and just reindex the bbl. so the rear sight apurature can be more along the mid-range in the range of adjustment?   Also, shipping address, etc.?  (Who pays cost of return shipment?)

Thanks Jesse.   FYI, stuck a carry handle scope on this thing a few weeks ago and it was outshooting a Bushy 20", by a lot.   I dont' know if its because I had the heavy bbl, but the other guy was pissed!

Thanks again.
