I've been pondering removing the FSB to add a free float tube to one of your uppers. Now most FSB pins are removed from left to right, correct? But, looking at the upper, I'd swear that the pins look bigger on the left (looking toward the muzzle) and littler on the right. So that would mean that I'd need to knock them out right to left. So, I guess my question is: "Do you ever install your FSB pins the opposite way?" And, a final question: Do you park and then add the FSB, or add the FSB and then park? If you park afterwards, it would be harder to get the pins out, right? Because the parking process might seal them in tighter. Anyway, any advice on knockin' out the pins on one of your uppers? And that direction thing. Am I crazy? Or might in be opposite? |

No, we press in our pins from the right side, so you'd want to knock them out from the left. We add the FSB then park, that way the park helps prevent gas leaks (plus if you park first then you have to repark if you get a tight FSB). The only thing that you may be seeing is the chamfer on the left side that may make it look larger. BTW our L & R are looking from chamber end to muzzle end. Jesse |
