I also posted this in the AR General disscusion. My brother and I both bought M4 Kits from J&T. My carry handle has the 8/3 knob and his has the 6/3 knob. they are both removable carry handles. Any one know why we would have different parts? I also read on the board the the 8/3 isn't suppose to work on the removable handle. something with the screw being to long? But mine seems full functional. What manf. does J&t use for their handles |

Were they both purchased at the same time? Most likely the upper part of the knob (with the marking) with the 8/3 got mixed in to the wrong bin on assembly. The top portion shouldn't have any affect on the way the sight is adjusted, the lower portion and sight base should determine how things work (I believe, but its been a few years since I had to put together A-2 sights). Our handles are now made by the same mfg. that is currently making them for Colt. Jesse |

Jesse you are correct. The lower grooved ridge section has the impact on the adjustments. Rusty it is no big deal. Though JT being the good CS people they are will, I'm certain offer to make it right somehow. ;^) The fix is not difficult if you want to do it. Just be careful and don't loose the bbs. What is the issue? When adjusting the height you will be incorrect in the adjustments, for example, you might think that you are at 800yd in adjustment, but in fact you are at 600yds. Kinda signifigant if you do the Santose method of zeroing at 50yds to put you on at 300yds. HTH. |
