HI, I keep checking in here but haven't seen your new barrel coating that's better than chrome lining mentioned in a while.  Is it still in the works?  Any idea on a product launch date?

Any chance I can get my kit barrel coated for free by providing you with such a catchy name when it does launch? ;-)

Thanks, NS6

The coating already has a name, but super slicky boy sauce would go over very well in some communities, unfortunately not many of those groups are into guns.

We did get our sample back and are testing it, but the chamber area is a bit tight, so we're trying to get a reading on exactly how much it needs to be opened up and why it ended up being tight.  Once we get all the problems figured out we'll be announcing a estimated launch date.

HEHE, OK but the offer still stands if you change your mind on the name.  VERY glad to hear it's still being worked on and looking forward to it.

What is the official name btw?

The name of the coating is carbonite, which is similar to Glock's Tenifer (sp?) coating.  Basically it's a very hard, corrosion resistant, treatment that applies uniformly unlike chrome, so it retains the accuracy quality of the barrel.

Carbonite....

MAN!

That is the SAME stuff that Han Solo was encased in.  VERY good protection.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.
