| Anyone know if individual base plates for mags are available? I broke the base plate on the 10 round mag when I took it off to get the followers out............now I need another one...........any ideas? |
| Our 10 round magazines clearly state and are sent with a warning that 10 round magazines are not to be disassembled. It is illegal to try to alter and disassemble the magazine. The base plate is ultrasonically welded. Attempting to disassemble the magazine causes permanent damage and voids the warranty of the magazine and any part of the magazine. |

1. I live in a jurisdiction that does not limit mags to 10 rounds. Can you kindly explain why disassembling a 10-round limited mag is illegal?
2. There is nothing written on the 10-round mag stating that disassembly is prohibited. I received the mag loose in the box with the Troy Carbine sold by Dick's. No mag-specific packaging was provided. I looked through the paperwork that shipped with the rifle and cannot find any mention of your "warning". There is a warning on the website but I don't consider that "clearly" stated as the expectation is that mags should facilitate disassembly as part of prudent firearms maintenance 3. If you choose not to to warranty your mag, then that is absolutely fine. Lesson learned for me. Quoted:
