I posted in the Optics, Mounts, and Sights section but didn't get a single response so I thought I'd try here.

Mainly dealing with elevation right now. I have the Troy front hk style and standard rear on a flattop and Troy VTAC Alpha 11" with 16" midlength bbl. The Troy website says that each click is 0.5 MOA, however, wouldn't that change depending on sight radius?

I've tried figuring it out but my accuracy isn't so great with irons (see target below). I've been googling for a formula and finally found THIS (4th post - jumbopanda). Does the troy use a 36TPI thread pitch on the FSP? If so, and his math is correct, with my 16" sight radius each click equals 1.49 MOA? That seems a little high to me. Imagine my surprise when I checked my latest zeroing target and found it to be more like 3 MOA per click!

I haven't tried to figure out the windage adjustment amount, but I noticed I'm about 3 MOA to the left yet (consistent shift from 50, 100 and 200yds).

Pic is 50yd zeroing target. Bench rested front & rear sandbags.
After group 1, I adjusted FSP down 2 clicks.
After group 2, backed up 1 click.
No other adjustments were made.
The squares of each color denote approximate center of each group. Distance seems to be 1-7/16" between each click (at 50yds, just under 3MOA)

What would the moa adjustment be on a sight mounted at the end of a 15" rail?
