I sent Troy an IM but haven't heard back. In a previous thread, Troy said that clamp on gas blocks such as the Vltor style don't work with Alpha rails. I was planning on using a YHM 9384 style on an 11" Alpha Rail on a carbine length gas system AR. Will I run into any problems with this combination?
For reference: Vltor Gas Block YHM Gas Block I'm not a fan of set screws and prefer clamp on gas blocks. |

The vltor lo-profile gas blocks you referenced will work as long as they use the under side screws, the ones with side clamp screws will interfere with the lower portion of the rail. The yankee hill one looks like it should work without issue. The Troy lo-pro gas block will also work.
