Troy TRX 11” Extreme Battlerail install??
I’m getting ready to put together a new build using the 11” Extreme Battlerail, so I was reading through the instructions tonight. The Troy instructions state “a slot in the Troy barrel nut must line up with the gas tube hole in the receiver.” 
That makes perfect sense, until I look at the Troy barrel nut and Extreme Battlerail. 
With the teeth of Troy barrel nut aligned in the grooves on the inside of the rail, one of the teeth of the barrel nut is sticking straight up into the gas tube channel. A slot in the Troy barrel nut does not align with the gas tube channel. Is this correct? It seems like it is going to be physically impossible to align the rail correctly with the receiver, when a slot in the Troy barrel nut is lined up with the gas tube hole in the receiver. Am I not understanding something, or did I receive a defective rail? Thanks in advance, Molon |

Its just fine. Take your barrel nut out of the rail and look at the channel about an 1in past the rear of the rail. That allows the rail to rotate before you torque it. Just install it as they say and you will be fine. Oh yeah, and turn your barrel nut around.  Now it makes sense. Thanks! |

I had the same thought process when I built my first one. I must say after doing 4 of these they have to be the easiest rail I've ever installed. |
