On a normal AR-15, you would in theory change the recoil spring around 5k rounds. With sprinco springs, it is much higher (up to 50k rounds). Not sure about the buffer itself. |

Hit the range today to tweak some things, zero at 25, checked impact also at 50. Installed a Dead Air Keymicro FH and the Dead Air 452 Keymicro adapter to the Obsidian 45. Tweaked the zero and offset w/o the OB45, minimal offset between the two. Ammunition was Speer Lawmen 115 ball. Side note, installed the Scalarworks mount on the V9 and checked the zero at 50, Aimpoint T1.   |

Put a lot more rounds through it this weekend. Ran great, not a single hiccup. The only quirk I've noticed is that a fully loaded 35 round mag doesn't seem to seat properly if the bolt is closed. It'll fit and click in, but seems wobbly and it won't pick up a round when charged. When starting out with a full mag, I lock the bolt back, insert the mag, then drop the bolt. Downloaded mags work either way. Reloads of course no issue as my bolt has locked back on empty every time. I have the 8.3" model. No gas to the face (unsuppressed). |

It seems like DD picked the correct buffer weight and bolt carrier weight for this PCC. It's not an APC 9 by any means, but it appears they did their homework. I'm going to wait and see what happens with the "Short Act" before buying a 16" PCC. I own a SP5 and APC 9. If SBRs are taken off of the registry, then I won't have to worry about it any more. |

| Does anyone make an actual 10 or 15 rnd (preferable) mag for the DDC 9mm PCC pistol? I realize it uses Scorpion mags, but all mags that I could find on the Internet that are less than 30/35 rounds appear to be unorderable. There is a company that makes 15 rnd mags out of 35 rnd Magpul mags by pinning them (apparently) but these are full sized mags. A 15 rnd size would be great for easier use in a bag for transport and for rnd limited requirements. |
