I didn't think about pics, sorry.
I ended up with a DD rail missing the DD barrel nut. I have a few DD rails and after looking I realized a standard AR barrel nut could be machined on both ends into a DD barrel nut. I wanted to mount the rail so I went to work. I sanded the standard nut to DD dimensions and it works perfectly. I actually like it a little better than the DD nut because it seems a bit beefier. An idea to anyone needing a DD barrel nut in a hurry. |
