I have th DDM4V9, I like to switch to the 15" slim line. Is it just removing the Allen screws slide off old, slide on slim and bolt back up?

Thanks for help

The slim rail and lite rail 3 use the same bolt up plate I believe.  You could switch rails without removing the barrel nut but you need to remove the gas block. The gas block is bigger than the rear opening in the rail.

You shouldn't have to remove the gas block at all. I have zero issues sliding my lite rail III or my buddies slim rail over the gas block. The rear piece of the rail that is held in place by the barrel nut is the only piece that won't slide over the gas block, but they're interchangeable between the two rails. So your better off leaving it on. So OP, your good to remove the Allen screws, swap rails, and no need to remove the gas block.

as long as you are talking about going to the 15" Keymod SLIMrail, than like others have mentioned, just unbolt the old rail and put on the new one and re tighten.  If you are thinking of going to their new 15" thin M-LOK rail, than it requires a different bolt up plate and removal of gas block

As far as I am aware the V7 uses the same bolt up plate, just has an adapter to accept the new handguard.

I am not sure what I was thinking. That's correct. Sorry.

You nailed it.  4 bolt swap to go from a DDM4 Rail to a SLiM Rail (KeyMod)

The new MFR XS Rail has it's own unique bolt up system.  The barrel nut is the same as the rest of our rails but you'd need to replace all other hardware

Now, if we can just get an ETA/Update on the stand alone M-Lok versions … at least sizes … that would be GREAT!
