I really like using DD rails on my ARs. I have used 6 DD rails out of the last 9 uppers I have built. Would really like to use the DDM4 Rail 12.0 FSP for my next build but you guys do not sell them. Why?

The DDM4 Rail 12.0 FSP is the perfect rail for my next build. I am not a fan of the RIS II rails so no interest in them. Are there any plans to sell the DDM4 as a stand alone rail without having to buy a complete upper? I would have no issue buying a complete upper from DD but you do not sell one with the same specs as the upper I am building.

There is actually a really good reason why we don't sell this particular model.  The DDM4 Rail/Lite Rail III 12.0FSP was designed to fit around our Front Sight Base which lacks a bayonet lug and sling swivel post.  This rail system will not fit around any other type of Front Sight base.  The only way this rail system would work is if you had a DD Barrel with a DD Front Sight base Installed.

I appreciate the response as well,

I am/was looking for the same rail for my Colt 6920, but I didn't know it required the removal of the bayonet lug and sling swivel post.

In addition to the RIS II M4A1 FSP, our AR15 Lite Rail II will work with a standard FSB.  If your FSB has the Sling Swivel behind the bayonet lug, you'll need to remove that.  Here is a link to the product on Midway USA's website.

Or I would assume they could be used with any FSB as long as the installer cut off the bayo lug and sling post in which case you could sell them and just list that as a requirement to install?

I know, most people don't read so you would probably get a lot of "Hey, this thing don't fit" calls and e-mails and you probably don't want to deal with that? I get it but it sucks that stupid people ruin things for everybody
