Would you mind explaining the difference between your Lite Rail III/Slim Rail lock up system vs. your new MFR XS lock up system? It looks as though you've added a 3rd piece between the rail itself and the lock up plate with the built in anti rotational tabs. What advantage does this give? Thanks guys! I'm just really interested in learning more about the new MFR and what you've done to evolve your lock up system which I believe is still the best lock up on the market.

(Example for those who don't know what I'm talking about.)

Lite Rail III:

1: Main rail body.

2: Anti rotational lock up plate.

MFR XS Rail:

1: Main rail body.

2: New unknown piece.

3: Anti rotational lock up plate.

The extra component, #2, of the MFR XS is called the Bolt-Up Collar and was necessary in order to achieve the polygonal shape of the hand guard while still utilizing our patented Bolt-Up System.  It essentially achieves the same function of #1 of the DDM4 Rail in your diagram, creating a clamping force around the barrel nut.

Thanks for such a fast response Joe! And now that I look at both rails very close the new setup makes since. Will it still be using the Lite Rail III barrel nut or something different?
