| It depends on what you want? The rail itself is slightly longer than 12". If your not planning on using a suppressor and don't mind if the flash hider is not fully exposed then a 12.5" barrel is the one. If your thinking of using a suppressor then you need to save about 1.5 to 2 inches behind the flash hider depending on the manufacture you choose. If you want your flash hider fully exsposed well, the length is gonna depend on the manufacturer and specific hider you use. But you can count on at least 1.5". |

Best bet would be to get a DD 14.5" and have it cut down to those specs. Here is a pic showing a 14.5 with a M4A1 rail. The "bare area" of the barrell from the end of the rail to the start of the FH is approx 1.25"
