will the 10 inch midlength lite rail cover your low-pro gas block all the way to the front edge, or does some of the GB stick out?  I am really torn between the 10" and 12" on my 16" midlength build.

I will be using it for HD, 3-gun, target.   I plan on having 2 QD mounted optics depending on mission.  Maybe a 2-10 or ACOG for a little distance and a T-1 for under 100.  I also plan on trying the Magpul AFG placed pretty far out for better control.  Haven't been able to attempt this technique with my carbine.  Just wondering if the 10" will give me enough length, the extra 2" gained from the 12" really doesn't add enough weight to make it noticeable.
Any wisdom from the peanut gallery?

Not my photos (got them from BCM's site) but here's what a 12" rail would look like on a 16" middy.

the more I see the 12" recce type, the more I like it.  I just dont think the 10" looks as good.  The only thing that is holding me up at all with the 12", is I have a MK12 Mod0 with a 12 inch PRI rail and a carbine with standard handguards and I wanted something in between.  But I still like that lite 12" more and more.

So, does anyone have a picture  like the one above with a 10" Lite rail on a Mid-length gas system with a DD low pro gas block?  I would like to compare them side by side.

I have the LITE 10.0 on my Noveske Afghan kiddy barrel. Approximately a 1/4" of the 1" gas block sticks out past the front of the rail.
It looks badass IMO.

Want to answer a few questions publicly...
... the 10.0 rail system does not completely cover the low profile gas block on the mid length gas systems. They are about 3/8" short.
