I have the Elite Operator II and am thinking of swapping out the half-quad rail for the TRO rail. I see no screws/bolts of any kind securing the half-quad to the receiver. What am I missing here??? Also...I'm assuming from another thread on this page that this swap is do-able. Right??? |

It's threaded onto the barrel nut, which is itself threaded onto the forward threaded portion of the upper receiver.
There are several threads here dedicated to the half quad's removal. You wouldn't have to remove the barrel nut as the Half Quad and the TROs use the same bbl nut. Remember that you'll need to go to a low profile gas block on that rebuild as well. Steve/RRA |
