Hi, I have a RRA 16" Predator Pursuit upper that came with the aluminum free float tube.  I would like to swap the tube with something with quad rails.  Are any of the RRA free float quad rail handguards compatible with the barrel nut that the factory tube comes with?

From What I understand anyRock River free float hand guard will fit.. I have heard issues with other brand hand guards not working with the RRA barrel nut..

barrel nut should be the same thread size and pitch, some new freefloat handguards come with a new barrel nut but as far as I know they are all compatible with the LAR15

LAR 8 is a different story

Most use theuir own specific nut.  I would have to know which one you want to use to check compatibility with what you currently have.

Hi Steve,

I think I have the RRA aluminum free float tube now and I would like to use either the RRA Quad Rail Aluminum Free Float, the RRA Advanced Half Quad with Full Length Top Rail, or the RRA Half Quad with Full Length Top Rail.  (Basically, whichever fits.  LOL)

Thank you for your assistance!

The aluminum tubes use a specific barrel nut which is differnt than the nut that is used by all three of the quads mentioned.
To go from the tubular free-floating handguard that is on your upper now to any of the other three will require removal of the current barrel nut and its replacement withthe nut that is part of the quad assemblky that you're installing.
