I installed the NM trigger into my Sig 716.  However, I did not use the oversize pins because they seemed to fit pretty tightly.  I didn't want to damage the receiver.

The stock pins fit very well and I passed all of the safety checks outlined on the instructions.  The trigger seems to operate very smoothly and is a HUGE improvement over the stock assembly.  I  notice a tiny bit of play in the trigger pin only, but not the hammer pin.

QUESTIONS
1.  Is it OK to not use the oversize pins?  If not, what are the issues?
2.  Do the pins fit the Sig 716  receiver?

Thanks!

I would use the oversize pins as recommended by RRA, they are designed to fit tighter to provide a tighter fit in the receiver as well as the trigger and hammer.
.0015 thicker means less play.

If you are worried about the pins rotating in the receiver (unlikely) buy the KNS anti walk kit in .1555

should be no problem for the 716 lower

Thanks MJ.  I needed the vote of confidence!

I hammered in the in the oversize pins with some oil and a nylon hammer.  I didn't have as much trouble as I thought I would.  She works like advertised with no issues.

Do all two-stage RRA trigerrs require the .1555 pins?

I ask because I was considering their two-stage Varmint Trigger.

You can get away with the standard pins,,it just won't be quite as close of a fit and feel as using the NM pins.
