I'm looking to build/order a lightweight upper to coyote hunt with. It will go on top of my RRA lower which currently has the CARA4 Hbar barrel. I don't like the weight of it and want something lighter to tote around. It also has a FSB and I want a gas block. I wish to try and stay with RRA. Alot of weights aren't listed on it's site; which I can understand due to the numerous variations on some uppers. But does anyone know the weight of the following
Coyote rifle and/or carbine upper (this will probably be same or close to my current setup) Predator Pursuit rifle and/or midlenght (I know this will be more than my current setup) A midlength, rifle and carbine lightweight barrel The 16 or 18in wylde chamber stainless barrel Midlength, rifle and carbine aluminum free float tubes I believe what I might order is the midlength upper with the lightweight chrome lined barrel. I don't think it is the Wylde chamber though? The stainless is listed as a Wylde chamber but I don't know how much it weighs. Hopefully someone has built a lightweight upper themselves or ordered one from RRA and can help me out. I Google'd numerous times to try and find the weights. If they are located somewhere, please let me know. |

Differnce between an HBAR and a ligthweight barrel (otherwise identical-gas port location, length, etc...) is about 8 ounces.
Identical barrels, regardless of material (moly or stainless), weight the same. Identical barrels use din the same builds weigh the same. Mid barrel is three to four ounces heavier than a CAR in same length. I'll see what ellse I can come up with. Steve/RRA |
