Names John
Just purchased a Rock River Arms Elite Operator 2 w/ RRA Dominator 2 Eotech Rail Haven't received it yet still waiting for it to come in. But I got it for $749 new. Got a christmas discount from my local gunsmith. Question I have is can I still use the RRA Dominator 2 with a Eotech XPS and Eotech Magnifier x3? I know I will have to bump the XPS further up for it to all fit. |

Welcome to the site and congrats on your new purchase! You will not be disappointed.
Thats an awesome gift from your smith there, thats a steal! I can't answer your question with confidence, but I would imagine you would have to move the dominator forward and get a riser for the magnifier. It would be an odd setup but Im willing to bet you could do it. Your probably better off just removing the dominator and getting some other stand alone BUIS. The dominator is a nice iron though so I would hang on to it for your next rifle |

I dont have an Eotech so I don't really know. Your best off starting a topic in the AR15 optics sub forum.
To get you started you can do some google searches on these companies: Magpul, Troy, Daniel Defense, Midwest Industries, Matech, GG&G, Bravo Company They all offer BIUS, some flip up, some are fixed. Its going to be your preference. |

I've tried to reply twice and it isn't showing up. Let's see if it will do it from a diferent computer.
Regularly, the best approach if you want to mount both an EOTech and a magnifier is to place both of them directly on the upper receiver (optic as far forward on the receiver as you can, with the magnifier directly behind it (allow only enough of a gap to make sure you can get your thumbs in to turn it on and off). Even then, the magnifier will extend quite a way rearward. You can mount an ARMS 40L in the rearmost rail position and the magnifier will overhang it. Whne you want to use the iron sight, just flip the magnifier to the side and flip up the rear sight...set up properly, you'll have either true or lower-third co-witness (depends on the EOTech in use).
