I've got one - I took it to the range once and it was hitting pretty tight groups (easy MOA) but I was having extraction issues.  I sent the upper back to RRA, and they said that they reamed the chamber and exchanged the BCG, but I've not had a chance to get back to the range with it.

I have one inbound that shipped today, but it probably won't arrive until next week. I have about 12 boxes of different bullets waiting for range testing and will report in a series of range reports as soon as I can start taking it to the range.  My only regret (in advance) is that it was not offered with a 20" bull barrel. That's why I posted to the first thread inquiring whether the non-Predator HP LAR-8 barrels will work with it. Perhaps that was a bad choice of threads to get the attention of the gentleman here who speaks on behalf of RRA.

Mine shoots outstanding with Sierra Match King hand loads and will do 16mm, 5 round groups’ at100mtrs off the bench.  It hates R1M1 South African milsurp ammo and groups 3"+ at 100 metres.  The only issue experienced is a feeding issue caused by a magazine.  I use L1A1 mags and have several the function perfectly, including the RRA supplied FAL magazine.

My shooting buddy was happy to offer his heavy varmint DPMS .308 as a trade for my LAR8-HP, I told him to go take a long walk off a short bridge.

thanks for the reply, I have a STD operator right now and Im wanting to lighten up a little this might be the route to take. I was thinking the HP barrel threaded for a vortex or other muzzle device and a full 12" quad from RRA

My Predator has been a consistent 1/2 to 3/4 minute weapon at 100 yards with Hornady TAP 168 grn A MAX. One magazine does not feed reliably. The weapon is used as an LE precision rifle and is truly a shooter.

I have roughly 600 rounds of 147gr South African through my Predator. It is topped with a MK2 Leupold 4-12 with a range finding reticle. I have shot this ammo on paper out to 300 yards, resulting in groups equal to and under 1MOA. I was also able to easily and consistently hit ~8" by 16" sensors on military pop-ups at 500M with this ammo with a harris bipod on the front end. The rifle shoots! I have not yet taken the opportunity to try any factory 168gr match or my handloads yet. I just zeroed it with inexpensive Winchester 150gr soft points for deer hunting. It turned in a near MOA group with that at 100 yards.

This rifle has been 100% reliable in feeding and extraction with all but one of the 5 rd mags I bought for hunting. I had a bad 5rd mag which Rock River quickly replaced.  I do have a 20 round mag which fails to lock the bolt back. Overall, this rifle has been a pleasure to own.

I shot it in a winter off-hand league, and shot it this summer in a number of "tactical" matches, which involved rapid and accurate fire. This is why I primarily have shot milsurp in it. The very good accuracy with it was a nice bonus. Great rifle!

Picked mine up from my transfer agent last night. Quick look-over before bed time and all appears to be okay. Next will be disassembling, degreasing, lubing, reassembling and hopefully off to the range tomorrow or Sunday.

I have 12-14 different .308 bullets to play with and plenty of prepped LC XM80 brass, all sorted by weight. Not sure how much reloading and range work I'll get in before the cold MN weather sets in this year though. I usually get a new project caliber as spring approaches, so I'm out of sync. I may just take some XM80 to the range and do a shoot-n-clean, to get a feel for it this first time out. Going to start out with my Nikon Monarch 6-24x50SF or the Elite 4200 6-24x40 for load workup, with a set of Burris Signature Zee Rings and YHM risers. Not really into looking tacticool. Had to sell my G3 to fund this and am hoping to not be remorseful about the decision.

If I get it prepped tonight and out to the range tomorrow, I'll throw up a range report, though I'm not looking for much in the way of accuracy with the XM80.
