Are you sure that's the price on a complete , new, LAR-8 rifle?
I would consider driving down  to Louisville for that kinda pricing becasue it's way below their cost (and obviously mine) on any complete LAR-8 in the line-up.  The savings would cover the gas, hotel room, ammo, meals along the road, and then some....

If they actually gave you that quote, you better jump on it, because I just had them send me a quote and it was over $1000.

For the price the DPMS is better, especially with PMAG capability.

Ok, I'll bite.  Why do you say that?  Make it real and not this kool-aid drinking rumors on the internut.  What is your real world experience with both that makes you say the DPMS is better?

That was really on topic... I saw a thread on here last week with the OP's price quote as well.  I ordered mine on Friday and they said that they still had a few in stock.  I'll try to let you know when it comes in...

Steve,

You better fuel up your ride and book a hotel.  I ordered mine from them today for $908.20 shipped (only the mid-length a4 version at this price I think).  They said the sale is until Dec 27th or while supplies last.  I was told they still have a few in stock.

I can confirm this, just got mine a week ago. $899 as stated. They do charge a 3% credit/debit card fee though.  I used debit, and with shipping- $950 total.

I believe they cannot show the price because the manufacturer requires a minimum price for it to be published.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

This is my first rifle; I've only shot a Stag AR-15 before this.  I put a Nikon prostaff on it and shot 1990s surplus german ammo through it for the first time.   From 100 yards, it shot high and right with a about a 3 inch group (obviously due to scope not being zeroed, cheap ammo, and shooter inexperience.)

Summary: I LOVE THIS THING!!! Thank you RRA for making such an awesome rifle. (and kygunco for the price!)

Good to hear.
JKLOP..we did away with MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) more than a year ago.  they can (and have) advertised at literally whatever price they want.
It's still a better deal than I can getm and I AM the manufacturer.

How are they able to sell them this cheap I wonder?  Unless the company really needs money, or just needs to make room for inventory, what's with this deal?

Also, just finished day 2 with my new lar-8.  60+ rounds german surplus ammo, no issues.  A testament to the fact that these are new guns with no issues that I can see.

We have on-going specials for dealers and they probably took advantage of one of them to stock up, and are passing on some/all of their savings.
We have a lot of dealers who try to make "X" dollars on any given rifle.  Period.  They go on the premise that if they have great prices, you'll buy more rifles and accessories, and make it up in volume.  Different dealers use different methods.  It's all down to what it takes to keep their stomachs relatively full, their lights (and heat) on and the doors open.
