is the OAL the same as an a2?also how does it compare as far as flash and noise to an a2?

For the shooter,  it's a great recoil moderator and is very effective with keeping the muzzle on target in full-auto firing.  You don't necessarily want to be about three to four feet to either side of the shooter, as you will get quite a bit of "blast" off of it.  As with every brake I've ever used, it doe shave more (both real and perceived) flash and blast thna a flash suppressor would.
It is a little bit longer than an A2 flash hider...approx OAL of 1.95" versus 1,75". (with 5/8" being the barrel/device thread overlap).
