I'm planning my first AR-15 build (a pistol) using RRA parts almost exclusively. I had a few questions about the various parts that are sold.

1) I need a Upper Receiver Assembly, Complete Bolt Carrier Group, and Charging Handle Assembly, correct? None of these things are included in the other?

2) Apparently I cannot buy my trigger, lower parts kit, and pistol grip individually.  RRA sells a package called "Lower Receiver Parts Kit, Two Stage Trigger, ERGO Grip Right Hand Black" (AR0120NMER) for $200. But the ERGO grip is $22, the two stage match trigger is $120, and the "Lower Receiver Parts Kit, without Trigger Group, with A2 Grip Black" (AR0120LTG) is $55. Is there a reason I would want the $200 kit over the $197 individual parts with a bonus A2 grip?

Thanks in advance.

Haven't looked too often at a pistol build, so I probably can't be much help. I assume you already have the barrel and other upper receiver parts ... Or why wouldn't you go for a complete upper? If you aren't getting a complete upper, then I think you'd be looking at separate parts for the receiver assembly, BCG and charging handle. So "yes" on 1 ... I think.

As for 2:  I could be mistaken, but I think RRA sells all the small parts individually if you really want to go that route. Package deals definitely would be easier though. If I was doing a build with $200 in lower receiver parts, I probably wouldn't be too concerned with an extra $3 and an A2 grip. But that's me. (That's probably why my builds all end up horrifically over budget.)

Unless I am mistaken, RRA doesn't offer a complete upper for pistol, otherwise I would consider it.

You're on the wrong page. Those are for Rifles, THESE are for pistols.
