hi guys! im new to the site, and have a few questions for all of you.

while on leave i bought my ar-15 added a rail system and a few extras. that was 2 years ago.

unfortunately i dont know if i got a stand up weapon by the standards of AR-dom.  i've never had any problems and always been pleased but.  are there things i should or could do to improve the weapon?  i've seen highly tooled and machined bolt carriers that look like there from a future weapon, trigger groups that look like one piece units.

the wish list:

anyway..

recommendations?  i'll have pics up of my current set up.. im an accessory whore...  i used to have a paq2 on it but a buddy of mine was deploying so i handed it over,  lol i've since then gone with a light, small laser, and a m203 lol..

I'm not sure 5.56 is a suitable rounds for sharks as large as that.....

amusing pictures aside, i really did want input..

i have a stock bolt carrier group and trigger group.   what mods should i do to make the weapon that much better? is there an udjustable trigger so i can decrease pull weight?  is there a better bolt made out of nasa titanium? maybe and extractor that can clear stuck dirty brass?  how bout a piston conversion to rid the gas system?    i ask cause i dont know..  im sure its out there..  but knowing what fits is why im asking you..  an so far 70 people have shrugged their shoulders and said nothing.

honestly, why fix what isn't broken.  maybe a 2-stage trigger if you don't already have one.  but if it functions perfectly, everything else is up to you to decide if you want to spend money - such as optics, Peq-2, etc

I have the same rifle, bought  under the same circumstances actually.

I added rail gas block, flip front and rear, rail system, forward grip (which is great cuz that heavy barrel under the handguard is crazy heavy), an old redimag, and a magpul BAD. I also have an eotech.

I keep trying to find more things to stick on it, to piss of the libs. I do have a surefire 6p in a daniel defence offset mount for it, but I rarely put it on.

OP, you bought a good rifle.  The only internal change I made to mine was to stake the gas key.

You shouldn't have to swap out any components.  In fact, you'd probably end up worse if you tried.  Pistons have funky inertia issues, different bolts and such require different buffers or whatever, etc.  It'd be like swapping your PC's video card without swapping the power supply and reworking the interior fans and such.

Just enjoy your rifle.

Great shark.
