Greetings from New Zealand.

Having joined a VERY long queue over two months ago to wait for the delivery of a Predator Persuit, I am keen to see what is currently out there in the field, and of course any mods that you may have been done.

Does anyone have any photos they would like to share of their favorite Predator Persuit?

Yes, I know there is a photo thread but there appears to be nothing of the Predator...

Your comments on on performance and accuracy would also be appreciated.

This is a great forum, I have just joined yesterday.

I love mine and regular shoot half MOA with it. By the way, what kind of laws do you have in New Zealand in reference to AR-15s?

Poor quality cell phone pic with the EOtech, 18 mags, and about 1800 rounds of ammo...

Nice rig...I am now itching more than ever to get mine

The laws in NZ regarding "MSSA" (Military Style Semi Automatic) rifles is very controlled and regulated.  Over and above the standard firearms license you need further endorsements to own and use the likes of the AR.

A MSSA rifle is typically defined as any semi-auto with a mag capacity greater than 7 rounds.  These rifles are registered with the Police.  Any sales and purchase of this type of firearm requires Police permits and can only be purchased by suitable licensed individuals.

The importation of MSSA rifles into NZ requires a 'hand-in'.  This means that you are required to surrender to the Police a older registered MSSA, in order to be allowed to import a new one.  This also applies to any spare part.

This creates much frustration within the shooting population of NZ.

Don't feel bad because the United States will soon be joining NZ with more regulations or outright bans.

So what type of older MSSA are you sacrificing so you can get an imported AR15?

Usually the cheapest thing we can get a hold of.  Any SKS or SKK or the Lithgow L1A1 were typically some of the easier stiff to find.  Our internal market for these rifles have changed and have nearly doubled in price in the last 2 years.  Average price on these ranges between $1000-$1800 NZD ($590-$1062 USD)   The availability has also started to get a little tight.

An SKS makes sense, but an L1A1?  That would be sacrilege unless it's a hopeless sewer piped collection of rusting metal and rotting wood.  I love my FALs.

Here's mine.  Shoots sub half MOA easily.  With my pet load (last Thurs) 5/5rd groups averaged .354. With the smallest being .196 and the largest at .412.  Doesn't leave me much room for excuses out in the field   Anyway you'll love it
