Are standard inside dimensioned barrels lined with a thin coat, or are barrels to receive chrome lining made several thousanths oversized to allow for a thicker chrome lining?

Neither and both. The bore is slightly oversized, and the chrome is applied to bring it out to the standard dimentions. Steve/RRA
