just to modfy an order on a gun that has not even been put together yet there's a $25 charge and you loose you place in line. F that!!!! total BS!!! "lets see i have to turn my my computer, type in your FFL # and delete that you wanted shinny stainless and mark that you now want bead blast. thank you that will be another $25 and your wait till start over form today." who the hell talked me into dealing with RRA? ik should have saved my money and bought through bushmaster. did i mention i was 2 weeks into my wait already. |
| And that is one reason I have built four of my five AR's. Just have to wait for the brown truck to deliver the various parts and about 2 hrs. time putting it together. The longest wait was for a custom barrel I had made, but then that is to be expected, and the wait was still less than most wait for a rifle. |

Outdoorsmen, That's what is called a "reprocessing fee". Once an order is processed (and we do allow 24hrs from time of order to make changes without the fee being imposed), it isn't a matter of a few key strokes and the order is changed. It involves manually retrieving two hard copies of the current order, cancelling that order and the associated work order, reprocessing the order and a new work order for it, and getting it back into the hands of the production supervisor to reassign it to a build schedule/file. I'm sorry that you feel this way about it. The fee was imposed a few years ago to counter customers (including dealers) who continuously and repeatedly changed orders...sometimes to completely different models. It wasn't uncommon for an order to have to be changed three and four times between date of order and date of shipment...and that's back when we were at 2-4 weeks lead times. If you would like to call me at 866-980-7625, ext 127, I still may be able to help you with this order. Steve/RRA |

I could possibly see the fee... I think $25 is a ltitle steep though... but you go to the back of the line? Thats messed up.. why not jsut cancel your order and avoid that fee if thats how it is? but.. myself i researched my rifle for a year or better... i know exactly what i wanted. if your already geting impatiant at 2 weeks i think you should go another route. im moving up to week #7. and prepared for another 7 more, but i hope it doesn't go that far. Kind of a crappy deal, but companys have to put up a 'road block' to keep people from 'taking advantage' of the system. but if you have to pay a fee then get knocked to the bottom of the list, i think thats really dirty dealing. |
Real classy. You come to a manufacturers section, and bitch about something that YOU caused. YOU changed your mind of what you wanted. Steve explained (and justified) why they do what they do, and then even gives you an opportunity to call him (which he probably would have taken care of the "fee" for you being an arfcom member) and then you follow up being sarcastic about a cancellation fee..Grow up.. your going to have a hard time in life figuring out everyone doesn't revolve around YOU.. Keep up the great work RRA! |
