Well, after reading many of the posts on this forum and traveling all over Houston handling different guns, I walked out of the door with a RRA Entry Tactical. Personally, I was very impressed with how tight everything felt and the finish of the gun itself. Also, I was kind of surprised at how loose many of the more popular brands were. I am sure they are great guns as evident from reading this forum but just didn't have that solid feel for me.

The only problem is that now I have been afflicted with "the disease"! I find myself surfing the internet for what others have done and recommended. I have been shooting it open sights but am quite certain that I will be adding optics to it very soon (between the Aimpoint T-1 and the new Vortex when/if it arrives in July). Also, the Commander in Chief (AKA my wife) has given the green light for a .458 Socom upper. So I may have to try and get one of those prior to hunting season!

Any how, I just wanted to say hi and thank you for posting all of the helpful topics. I look forward to being a member of this forum.

welcome, you're going to love it here. I'm addicted.

oh, become a team member to if you can. It supports the site and if worth every penny. Just the monthly give aways LaRue does makes it worth it.

Pictures? We want pictures!!! How about options? Anything special on it?  I'm into week 10 of my order for my Entry Tactical, so I'll take what ever I can get.

Oh yeah, congrats and good shooting!

No "porn" yet! houldn
Right now it is 100% stock with the tactical carry handle. I am having a blast with it just the way it is but I am sure it won't be long before I start "tweaking" it.

I have seen where a lot of the guys are having to wait a long time to receive their RRA guns. While that is unfortunate, the wait will be worth it.

I really didn't expect to see much of a difference in construction between each brand when I set out to find a black gun but I was wrong! These guns definitely had the best feel in my hands compared to the Bushys, S&Ws, Stag, DPMS, Remington, and a few others. I actually thought that I wanted a Bushmaster until I had it and the RRA in my hands together. It was an easy decision at that point.

makes it even more encouraging while i wait :) im one week 3 of... who knows. lol.

but you got bare stock the way your talking. I decided to get every option i would want, becuase. it would cost me more in gunsmithing in the future to change front sights, hand guard, etc. when i could just pay RRA to it the first time, dont ahevt to worry about a jack leg gunsmith effin my gun up, and its ALL under WARRENTY :)

my entry tactical will be 1:9 lightweight (really gov't profile...) chrome lined barrel, CAA tactical stock, ergo grip, ARMS #40L flip rear sight, RRA flip front, Vortex flash hider, and quad rail.

Its gonna be sweeeeeeeeeeet. Ill top it with a EO tech in the near future after i get it, and a CAA FGA (flashlight grip adapter).

get some pics, now!

Yeah, I ordered mine chrome lined, with the quad rail, and the winter trigger guard. Plus, because I'm in NY, I have to have a muzzle brake permanently attached so I ordered the tactical muzzle brake. Also, no bayonet lug, and a fixed stock. Think I'm gonna get a magpul ctr and permanently pin it once I get the rifle. I've already got a MIAD grip, a Troy BUIS, and a LaRue FUG here waiting, and I just ordered a Larue offset light mount for my Surefire.

Hurry up with those pics! LoL.

I have given two of my buddies "the bug"! One went and bought a Entry Tactical and the other is supposed to be heading to the dealer to pick a Entry Tactical up tomorrow. I guess they enjoyed shooting it as much as I have. Now we can all go in together for better prices on ammo!

Yea I think that RRA definitely makes some of the best AR's out there.  I bought an Entry Tactical about 2 years ago and havent any problems with it at all plus their prices are more reasonable that other maufacturers.  Bought it stock new at CALIBERS w/ chrome lined barrel, ergo grip. Finally Got a CTR stock & MIAD grip MI quad rail w/ Aimpoint Comp M2- It definitley is an "addiction"
Congrats on the purchase!
