When I order an upper from a vendor that is drop shipped directly from RRA, is there any notification to me? Does the upper just arrive one afternoon or do I get a notice that my item has shipped? I'm perfectly content to wait for my product, I just want to know when it's headed for me so I can make arrangements to secure the delivery instead of letting it sit on the front porch. Thanks. |

You'd have to call to find out when it ships, otherwise you will come home to find a UPS tag on your door. They won't leave it on your doorstep because it requires an adult's signature. Mine just showed up one day out of the blue. I had it shipped to my parents house since they are retired and sit home all day. |

Actually...with a change we made in our shipping system last year, if we have the e-mail address for the "ship to" on an order (we need to have it in the customer profile when the order is generated), and the order goes out by UPS, a shipping notification will go out by e-mail to the "ship to" customer's e-mail address. An invoice of sorts goes to the "Bill To" customer's e-mail address (if we have it). That's why some of you ordering from us over the phone may have noticed a greater insistence on the part of our Sales Department to get your e-mail address as part of your contact information. We have run into some instances where filters and buffers don't let the UPS notification through due to settings on the recipient's end of things. I had our shipping department "send" me a package with different billing and shipping e-mail adresses just to verify this because the question hadn't come up quite the way you asked it. Thanks.
