First, let me state that I am a newbie, so this may be a stupid question.

I have a Bushmaster 20" V match rifle.  I want to get your mid length upper and put it on my lower.  From everything I have read this shouldn't be a problem.  However what my question is, do I need to change to a carbine recoil system?

I haven't been able to find an answer to this yet.  If I went with a regular 16" carbine, then I know that I need a carbine recoil system, is this true for the mid-length gas system?

Thank you very much, from all I have read and seen you guys make an excellent product.

Barrel length and recoil system are immaterial to one another.
We've built 24" varmints with CAR stocks and 10.5" subguns (LE/Govt) with A2 stocks...just a matter of personal preference and appearances.  You can build it or have it built pretty much any way you would like it to end-up.
