What is the benefit of the "Tactical Carry Handle" vs the A2 style detachable one?  I realize it has a rail on top of it, but whats the reason for wanting a rail at that particular height as opposed to just removing the handle and mounting an accessory directly onto the reciever?

If someone is going to remove the handle/tac mount/Dominatoe to mount accessories directly to the receiver, none provides any use or benefit.  The Tac Mount allows the retention of iron sights (lower third view) while mountingtubular red dot sights to that rail section. The Dominator was designed to allow lower third view through an EOTech sight while retaining integral rear sights.  The A2 carry handle retains the rear sight while providing a "carry handle" that nobody has ever advocated carrying their rifle by.  So primarily all of the various mounts keep a rear sight in-place, regardless of the mount/handle or what is mounted to them.
All of our rifles/upper halves that "normally" come equiped with the Tac Mt can be ordered with the Dominator, Dominator 2, A2 carry handle, or with no mount whatsoever, depending onthe end-user's needs.
