| I have an RRA 9mm upper that I use with my Bushy lower and interchange it with my M4 upper, so I can use the same registered lower receiver for both. As I found out in the Bushmaster section, my M4 heavy buffer weighs in at about 3 3/4 ounces. I use this in conjunction with a Superior Shooting Systems CS carbine recoil spring which is much more stout than the stock one. Is this still too light and am I asking for trouble down the road? I have about 2000 rounds through it now and it recoils about the same as a stock Colt 9mm that I had a chance to try. I know that the 9mm buffers of various brands are heavier than the one I have. |

If it works, leave it alone. Normally yu would use the 9mm upper withthe 9mm buffer (approx 4.4oz) and carbine action spring. If you're getting satisfactory results from your slightly lighter bolt and heavier spring, I don't know of any reason to change it. Steve/RRA |
