I found a M16-AR15 blank adapter in pile of surplus i bought. Is installing the adapter taking any risk of hurting the barrel crown or screwing up the barrel ? Any issues connected with firing blanks in my RRA ? I have no real reason to fire blanks, just for fun and curiosity |

There are always risks associated with blocking your barrel. As long as you're only going to fire blanks, and that you remember to remove ithe adaptor before firing live ammo, about the only thing you'll experience will be some finish wear on the flash hider/barrel. Live ammo through it will, however, result in a catostrophic failure. Be careful and you should be okay. Remember that the "fun" might still have legal issues, as in many areas discharging a firearm, whether with live or blank ammo, is still discharging a firearm. I have a friend who discovered this the hard way one Fourth of July. Steve/RRA |
